    Web mapping database

Developed a Google Maps driven website for a non-profit community.

Case study kitemap.org, although now closed down, was designed as a community-based database of worldwide kite flying locations, with a requirement to provide location-based searching and browsing together with driving directions for the user.
    Solution and benefits

We developed the server-side and javascript code to integrate the desired functionality into a Wordpress driven website.

Technologies used: LAMP server, Wordpress, HTML, Javascript, jQuery, PHP, Googlemaps v3 API.

Benefits: geolocation services provide a clean interface for users to search for good kite flying sites (or plan a roadtrip). We provided prompt solutions to the user testing group and responded to their change requests, delivering the fully-functional solution.
